The aim of Religious Education in our schools is to help children to acquire and develop knowledge and understanding of Christianity and the other principal religions represented in Great Britain; to appreciate the way that religious beliefs shape life and behaviour, develop the ability to make reasoned and informed judgements about religious and moral issues and enhance their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
Parents and carers have the legal right to withdraw their child from Religious Education, in full or in part. Any parent or carer who wishes to exercise this right is asked to contact the school to discuss the request. We are always happy to talk through the RE curriculum and answer any questions.
